The Forum Topic in 2011 is

"The New Evangelisation"

The general bishops' synod in Rome in 2012 has been called on this topic
and Catholics are asked to make submissions to it.
See a summary of the discussion document attached below.
Make your contribution to the topic:

What new methods, new ways can we use to attract people back to the Catholic Church?

These questions were asked at the forums.

ž   1.

How did you personally come to faith in Christ? How can we help others to have some form of PERSONAL ENCOUNTER with Christ?

ž   2. From your own personal experience, has anything been particularly effective in your own family or parish for sharing faith with others?

ž   3. In recent decades, many who have been received into the Catholic Church tend to drift in time from the Church. How can we better nurture growing Catholics?

ž   4.

How can we as Catholics better engage with people of other faiths, or of no faith?

ž   . Catholics often have a lower profile in society than Christians of other denominations.

How can we as Catholics serve Christ more effectively in our culture, our economy and our political life?

If you would like to respond please send comments to patl@cda.org.nz by 15 September.
